The
Victoria University Unit of USW Local 1998 was certified
in May of 1999 to represent approximately 120 members of
the support staff of Victoria University. Our members provide
administrative, archival, library, security, custodial,
grounds maintenance, physical plant maintenance, and food
services support to the university community.
Our
Collective Agreement provides for two stewards (one to represent
our salaried members and one to represent our hourly-paid
members), one unit grievor and one chairperson. The members
who currently represent our membership in these positions
