After three months of negotiations, including intensive bargaining over the Labour Day long weekend, the USW Local 1998 U of T Staff-Appointed Unit negotiating committee has reached a tentative agreement with the University of Toronto.
This is an important milestone for our Staff-Appointed Unit members, who stood together throughout bargaining and demonstrated their determination to achieve a fair agreement.
There will be a ratification information town hall meeting for members of the Staff Appointed Unit with a ratification vote being held afterwards.
Preparations continue for upcoming contract negotiations in the Local’s Casuals, Victoria University, St. Michael’s College and University of Toronto Schools units. Updates on those preparations will be released in the coming weeks.
