A Tentative Agreement has been Reached with the University
Your USW negotiating team has reached a tentative agreement with the Victoria University administration for a new collective agreement. The new contract expires on July 1, 2023.
Working within the highly restrictive terms of the provincial Conservatives’ Bill 124, the Union worked to get the best possible improvements to the monetary provisions of the contract and improvements in language provisions. The full details of the tentative agreement will be announced to members in a series of ratification meetings to be held in the near future. Following those meetings, the membership will have the opportunity to cast a ballot in a ratification vote. Details of the ratification information meetings and the ratification vote will be announced in the coming days.
We would like to thank the members of the Strike Committee who worked tirelessly to build union solidarity and to support the negotiating team. Their work contributed significantly to any success we achieved in bargaining.
